Lucy is a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), and Non-Medical Prescriber. She qualified as an RMN in 1997 and has worked continuously in NHS mental health roles since then.
She holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychosocial Interventions and an MSc in Advanced Practice. Lucy is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
With broad and in-depth experience across a range of mental health settings, Lucy has developed specialist expertise in mental health conditions alongside strong clinical leadership. She has worked in secondary community mental health teams, inpatient care, perinatal mental health services, and crisis/home treatment services. She has also served as a Lecturer Practitioner at the University of Salford in Manchester, and as Professional Nurse Lead for a mental health trust, where she was instrumental in driving high standards of patient care.
Lucy has a particular interest in neurodivergence and regularly carries out assessments and interventions for individuals with ADHD and/or autism, supporting patients to access the appropriate care pathways. She has completed specialist training with UKAAN in the assessment, diagnosis, and pharmacological treatment of ADHD, as well as further training in non-pharmacological interventions.
With a significant wealth of clinical experience, Lucy has a deep understanding of the mental health conditions that can be associated with, or co-exist alongside, neurodivergence.
