Dr Vijay Delaffon

Experienced in General Adult Psychiatry, Addictions Psychiatry and diagnosing ADHD in adults, Dr Vijay Delaffon has been working as a Consultant Psychiatrist since 2011, specialising in adult mental health.

Vijay has extensive expertise in assessing and treating complex psychiatric presentations, with particular clinical interests in ADHD, addiction medicine, and the relationship between mental and physical health. He currently provides ADHD assessments in a telemedicine service and prescribes cannabis-based medicinal products for psychiatric conditions.

He completed a Master’s degree in Psychiatric Research Methodology, awarded with Merit from the Institute of Psychiatry, London, and continues to contribute to academic research and peer-reviewed publications .

Dr Delaffon has held senior leadership roles in his NHS career, including Clinical Director where he oversaw service performance, quality improvement and clinical governance within a large mental health trust.

In addition to his clinical and leadership responsibilities, Vijay has contributed to postgraduate medical training, clinical working groups and examination panels, reflecting his ongoing commitment to the development of psychiatric practice and education.
