Dr Katalin Ress is a very experienced and dedicated Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with over 12 years of expertise in assessing and treating a wide range of mental health presentations in children and young people. Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, provide clinical supervision, and develop liaison services to bridge acute care and mental health services. Dr Ress can speak Hungarian, if patients being seen by her wish to have the appointment in Hungarian.

Dr Ress has been working at Solent NHS Trust as a CAMHS Psychiatrist since 2019. She has experience treating children and adolescents with ADHD, Autism (ASD), anxiety disorders, depression, self-harm, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and eating disorders, among others. Dr Ress has established and managed a successful liaison service in the Portsmouth area, facilitating seamless care for hundreds of young individuals in mental health crisis. She has led a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, mental health practitioners, occupational therapists, and nurse prescribers, providing comprehensive assessments, treatment decisions, and facilitating acute admissions.
