Gemma is a Chartered Psychologist and Registered Clinical Psychologist, having qualified in 2006. She has undertaken further professional training in a range of psychological approaches, including postgraduate training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and neuropsychology. She is accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) as a CBT therapist.
She has worked in a variety of NHS settings across Norfolk and London, providing psychological support in both clinical and community contexts. In addition to her clinical work, Gemma teaches regularly in the UK and internationally and has held academic positions at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and University College London (UCL). She is an Associate Fellow of both the Higher Education Academy and the British Psychological Society.
Gemma is also actively involved in research, with a particular focus on psychosocial interventions for dementia. Clinically, she specialises in working with adults and older people, with expertise in CBT and non-pharmacological approaches to dementia care.
