Mr Alex Halliday is an NMC registered Mental Health Nurse and Independent Prescriber with over a decade of clinical experience supporting individuals with complex mental health, physical health and neurodevelopmental conditions. He graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2014 and has since developed a strong, patient-centred practice grounded in evidence-based care.
Mr Halliday has completed an ADHD Specialist Practitioner Training Programme and has undertaken additional postgraduate training and continuing professional development focused on the optimal assessment and treatment of adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. His approach is guided by current clinical guidelines, professional standards and best-practice evidence.
He adopts a comprehensive biopsychosocial model when planning treatment and titration, recognising that effective ADHD management extends beyond medication alone. His assessments and treatment plans consider psychological interventions, lifestyle and environmental factors, and social functioning, with pharmacological treatment used where appropriate. He places strong emphasis on shared decision-making and collaborative goal-setting, ensuring each plan is individualised, holistic and responsive to the person’s needs and preferences.
