Marco Solmi, MD, psychiatrist, PhD, is the Clinical Research Chair in Evidence-Based Mental Health, Associate Professor and Director of Research in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa, Canada. He is the former Medical Director of the On Track First Episode Psychosis Program and the Eating Disorders Program at The Ottawa Hospital. He is also a Scientist in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy at Charité University Medicine Berlin, and a visiting academic at the University of Southampton, School of Psychology, UK.
He is Chair of the ECNP Physical and Mental Health (PAN-Health) Network, a member of the board of directors of the Canadian Consortium for Early Intervention in Psychosis, and a member of various other European and Canadian psychiatric associations. His research interests include meta-research and epidemiology, with a focus on prevention and early intervention, psychopharmacology, and physical health in individuals with mental disorders. He has received formal training in ADHD assessment and management in the UK.
Dr. Solmi has authored over 550 publications in leading medical journals and is listed among Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers in Psychiatry and Psychology, ranking among the top 1% of most cited authors in the field of mental health globally.
